At the 2015 IPCPR, Drew Estate showcased two new sizes of the Nica Rustica cigar. Originally, the cigar was only available in a 6x52. Now, you can enjoy it in a Short Robusto 4 ½ x 50 or a Belly 7 ½ x 54.
The Nica Rustica cigar blend was created as a tribute to the hard work that goes on in Esteli, Nicaragua to produce high quality cigars. With filler tobacco from Esteli and Jalapa and a San Mexican Andres Negro binder, the cigar has a medium to full-body.
The wrapper is what really makes the cigar unique. The Nica Rustica cigar has a Connecticut Broadleaf Mediums wrapper. Surprisingly, t’s much different from a Connecticut Broadleaf Darks wrapper. To make sure the wrappers have been sorted correctly, Drew Estate has even bought some Connecticut tobacco plants.
